Pine Woods Apartments is a  beautiful new rental complex located in Colquitt, Georgia. The Colquitt/Miller County market area has a serious shortfall of affordable rental units. Pine Woods Apartments, the planned housing complex development, will assist in alleviating some of this demand.
The 32-unit apartment complex will consist of four 8 unit – two-story buildings. There are 16 three bedroom units and 16 two bedroom units. Three of the units are designed for mobility impaired tenants. All of the designs conform to the high standards of the State of Georgia Department of Community Affairs as well as ADA Standards. The site is within city limits and is centrally located for access to both jobs and essential services such as health care, schools, grocers, shopping, entertainment and city services. The local high school is located on the same street. The site has access to city water and sewer. A host of services and amenities will be made available to the residents, such as electricity and garbage pick-up. The project will be developed on approximately six (6) city lots, contiguous to surrounding single-family dwellings.
The complex has a large playground area within a security fence.
The complex is HUD/Section 8 Voucher qualified and became available for occupancy October 2007.
