CDC of Southwest Georgia Receives Grant to assist with Start-up of Small Businesses The Community Development Corporation (CDC) of Southwest Georgia has received funds through the Rural Housing and Economic Development Grant process to assist with the start-up and development of small businesses.
The funds will assist with the set-up and operation of the Small Business Complex that is located at 169 S. Cuthbert Street next to the CDC office will house six small businesses, and the funds will assist these businesses with low/shared rent, utilities, and phone services within the office.
Should you qualify, there is also a revolving loan fund to assist your business with a small low interest start-up loan. The CDC will assist the businesses in creating a business plan as well as provide a computer that will include financial and billing software.
There are certain requirements and procedures to qualify for admission into the small business creation process with regards to the grant funds received.
